Here's some tips to make your listing most efficient:
Make sure you enter a phone number and complete address. Failure to do say may restrict your listing from appearing on the site.
Don't use specific dates for your U-pick or harvest information. If you do, you'll need to update your listing annually (or seasonally if weather causes changes in harvest dates) to ensure your visitors are coming to your orchard anticipating something that they won't find. For example, say mid-September instead of September 15th.
Descriptions should be kept simple and concise. We reserve the right to limit the length of your writeup if the length is too long.
List as many of the apple varieties grown and available at your orchard as you can. This information is important for two reasons: 1) An upcoming feature of the site will allow viewers to search their state listings for growers who have a particular variety of apple, and 2) we receive calls regularly from people looking for a specific variety, and this will assist both their and our attempt to help them out. If your list is too extensive feel free to
with a variety list, or web address listing your varieties, and we'll add it for you.
List other fruits grown at your orchard. We try and minimize the vegetable listings since those are more commonly grown.
If you are updating an existing orchard listing, feel free to just type SAME in any field and we'll keep what we currently have on the listing.
Your listing will not automatically post to the orchard page. We will review your listing, make any appropriate changes, and add your listing as quickly as possible.
